NEARBY PLACES OF INTEREST

Staying in the Eco B&B VdT you can visit a lot of interesting places:

Oases: the nearest is the famous Oasis of Val Campotto also known as Valle Santa. Just 5km from the B&B it is possible to reach on foot or by bike (bikes are available from the B&B). In this typical natural environment, surrounded by water and reeds, you can walk, do birdwatching or simply relax and enjoy the silence and colours of the beautiful flora and fauna.

The Oasis of Bando (5 km from the B&B) very similar to Val Campotto but a bit smaller.

The Oasis of Ostellato towards Ferrara and all the area of the Po Delta Park which extends to the sea.

The Oasis of San Alberto (20 km from the B&B), going towards the sea is worth a visit to admire its beauty with its pinkflamingo colony.

Ferrara:  a beautiful medieval and renaissance city with its imposing Estense Castle, its romanic/gothic Cathedral, its famous buildings, its ancient walls, its side-streets.  The River Po too..until the Delta Park, the roman Pomposa Abbey, the unique lagoon town of Comacchio and its beaches.

Hillside/Hamlets:  the ancient medieval hamlet of Brisighella, in Lamone Valley, is about 40 km from the B&B and is a must for all tourists. It is famous for its three symbolic monuments: the ancient fortress, the clock tower and the Monticino Sanctuary.  In the heart of the hamlet the ancient “Via degli asini” (Donkey Street) must be visited because it is the only place of its kind…Surrounding the hamlet the countryside is full of pathways, chalkpits and caves. A paradise to discover between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany.

But also other hamlets like Marradi, Modigliana, Bertinoro, Dozza… are worth a visit.

Other two places which deserve a short visit are Lugo and Bagnacavallo, 15/20 km fom B&B.  Lugo with its Castle and its Pavillion dating from the 1500’s.  Bagnacavallo with its typical medieval aspect and “Piazza Nuova”, a square with an oval shape surrounded by porticoes dating from 1700’s.
